Full Flow Oil Filter System

The Shasta Design full flow oil filter system has 2 distinct advanatges over the stock 356.912 oil filter system. Number one, of course, is that it filters all of the oil all of the time, keeping it much cleaner that the factory partial system, which filters about 15 to 20% at any one time. Number two is that the oil runs much cooler, about 25 to 30° below the stock system. One does not need to be a rocket scientist to realize that if the oil is clean and cool, the engine life will be greatly extended.

The Shasta Design System sells for $295.00 for all the parts needed and has an instruction sheet. The 3rd piece (front cover) needs to be drilled and tapped for the fittings. I do this for a charge of $75.00. The pump cover can be purchased separately: $90.00 for the standard cover, and $145.00 for the cover with the pressure release pioston. This is a must have when rebuilding your engine!
